Womenswear designer, Jaida Hay was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. After graduating from the Art Institute of Vancouver she moved to London, England to attended the prestigious Central Saint Martins to refine her training in pattern cutting with a Post Graduate Certificate.
Prior to launching her own eponymous line she worked in London for designers, Emilia Wickstead Atelier, Nicole De Carle and Celine. Her first season on her own became something that young designers dream of, it was picked up by stores and featured in Vogue, Drapers, Elle, Ecouterre, Huf Mag, Tantalum, WGSN and many more.
Hay’s young professional life in film and television exposed her to the world of business and luxury at a young age, prompting her pursuit to train in design and create luxurious and well-made garments. Her passion for minimalist luxury is tempered by a strong ethical grounding, which stems from her roots in Canada. She is adamant about using only the highest quality of sustainable fabrics, believes in the importance of transparency and integrity in business.
